Accellence has reached the final agreement on creating a strategic business partnership with NTT Data Group
On 26th December 2011, Accellence has reached the final agreement on creating a strategic business partnership with NTT Data Group. NTT Data Group will hold 51.4% of the Accellence shares. This deal will position Accellence to become one of the most recognized Information Technology companies within Thailand. Also, this is yet another step that Accellence has taken to propel the company’s growth into the overseas market.
NTT Data Group has recognized that Thailand is one of the fastest growing markets for the cards and payments business in the Asia-Pacific region, with the number of credit cards and debit cards issued and used increasing year after year. Furthermore, the central government and the Bank of Thailand have been implementing policies aimed at increasing the uptake and convenience of credit cards for electronic payments in regional areas. Given that Accellence is already a major player in the credit card payment solutions within Thailand, NTT Data Group is seeking to develop business synergies to further expansion in the card and payments field in the Thailand market and the Asia Pacific region.
NTT Data Group is worth over 13 billion USD (as of March 2011) and has 53,000 employees worldwide. NTT Data Corporation services include broad range of IT services including Consulting, Systems Integration and IT Outsourcing. In addition to Accellence’s strengths in the cards and payments business, Accellence has already established service lines in the areas of Consulting, Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, Technology Solution and Managed Operations. The partnership will allow both companies to leverage on each other strengths and best practices in order to provide “best of breed” IT solutions to their international and domestic clients within the financial, manufacturing and other large enterprise sectors.
